Edelbrock
In 1938, Vic Edelbrock built his first intake manifold so he could get more power from his 1932 Ford roadster. After some modification, his “slingshot” manifold helped his flathead Ford set a new quarter mile record. Word got around about this manifold, leading Edelbrock to go into manufacturing after the end of World War II. As Vic and his successors continued to chase increased performance, his company spread into new markets. Today, Edelbrock is one of the largest producers of aftermarket performance parts in the world.
